This building was built in 1922 and likely had much older plumbing that was replaced with these Cadets. The sinks are interesting. I imagine that this building originally had older sinks with the separate hot/cold pipes and that when this restroom was upgraded they kept the separate pipes but modernized the sinks. I don't believe they made sinks with separate hot/cold pipes for newly installed restrooms in the 1980s so this was likely a custom job for this particular restroom. I would have loved to see the fixtures in this restroom before it was modernized.

  • Haha, yes, it is so funny because I used to be really excited to see a Cadet like this however since I have started filming these videos I see them quite often along with the Afwalls. Sometimes I forget that it is almost 15 years since the 1.6 gpf toilets came about commerically. The toilets in this shoot are at least 20 years old if not older. And yet I was still holding a glimmer of hope for one of the original 1920s models to be there....as I know you would be too.... :)
