  • Thank you for sharing this with us, and to the artist for giving you permission to do so. In the session is my favorite way to enjoy this kind of music and Julie Fowlis' is one of the finest Gaelic voices I've ever heard. I don't think one would need to understand the language to appreciate this. It's beauty transcends all languages and boundaries to brighten the lives of all it touches. It certainly does mine and I'm grateful so beautiful a voice should be that of such a good person, too.

  • Absolutely stunning .... as nature intended! I love a voice that needs no production effects :)

  • @ljbabysprite i completely agree. i don't understand the language myself, but if I've had a bad day, or feeling a bit under the weather, i just listen to Julie Fowlis' albums and it instantly lifts my mood.

  • What a wonderful treasure!

  • great!

  • topper!

  • Nice job on the video - sgoinneil!!

  • Agree with everything about the voice - this is the first time I've heard her; thought that a twelve-string AND a ?mandolin? were a bit too much as backing, but worked well with the fiddle. Nice to hear good intonation from the backing vocals, as well.

  • @bmoregan i believe the word you are looking for is secret, " this drink in my hand will be my secret"...sorry but i am not a scot...lol i am a Maritimer and proud of it
