Robert Schumann - Romance Op. 94 No. 2 - Einfach, innig

-------------------------------------

  • I'm playing this for my Music exam next week :D I hope i do well. I have to be able to hit those high notes with no problem.. so far it still sounds bad. I have to practice more D:

  • @surfing0rox would you say this is suitable to play for freshman soloists?

  • what happened to the middle section of the piece?!?!? why was it cut?

  • I am playing this for my solo performance 2mrw! EEK! some of the intervals are really hard to pitch properly on the flute while keeping it piano. My tone goes completly out thw window!!

  • I might choose this piece for my upcoming concert, would you recommend a flutist to play this, like me? Did you enjoy playing it?

  • I played the first movement of this on oboe during my freshman year, great composer.

  • I am performing this piece (tomorrow actually, erk) for my end of year exams, but on oboe.

I'm going to go against my kind and say this sounds so much more beautiful on a well played clarinet. I think the piece is more suited to the lilting and smoothness of the the clarinet than (well my) the oboe.
