Vladimir Horowitz - The Last Romantic 3/12 Mozart: Sonata in C, K 330

A rare insight in the home life of one of the worlds most famous pianist of all times Vladimir Horowitz.

Beside his amazing performances of Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Mozart, Liszt, Bach etc. we see an other side of the man himself. That of the man outside the stage, laughing, making jokes, talking about hes old friends, wife etc.

its a MUST SEE documentary of the man behind the music

  • i wish, one day, before I die, I'd be able to play Mozart with the musicality and clarity that Horowitz does/did.

  • I don't understand. What right does Horowitz have at 4:46, to magically make Mozart's K330 sonata 3 mvt one half tone higher. I understand that he was one of the best pianists, but seriously? Play it like the composer, the genius Mozart, wrote it. I understand that pianists at his level can improvise, but seriously, this isn't improvising, this is making something completely different and it's inappropriate. He's a amazing pianist nonetheless.

  • @shineluvslambiel you really do?

  • almost too much harmony in the setup:D

as remarked, old people tend to look similar, thence horowitz with his unpretentious smile playing honest mozart and furthermore no stupid biting in the commentaries, but even little lectures:D thats the horowitzian spirit:D

  • He's still alive

  • Amazing... yet heart breaking.

  • thanks for uploading

  • TERCEIRO MOVIMENTO A 04:46
