dose it matter how far your point your feet out?

@iKrackeD The title definitely matters. If someone is interested in getting into OLY style training, this title could easily lead them astray. I really like Elliott's videos, but this one is definitely misleading to what the video actually presents. With a reputable channel comes responsibility to put out solid and "accurate" info. And for the newbies, I would highly recommend watching vids and analyzing proper form behind the scenes in conjunction with actual training.

@phitches well if the newbies wanna learn the right kind of olympic squats theyd probably be better off doing olympic lifting instead of sitting at a computer looking at them? so does the title really matter?

i hear the offsprings in the back round

This was a top search for Olympic style squats ... Shouldn't the name of the title be Powerlifting Squat? I just don't want the wrong info to be put out there to newbies. Obviously there should be a closer stance and much more depth in the pocket with a torso as vertical as they come. Don't you think this should be renamed Elliott?

@strengthcamp You performed a perfect squatting technique

hey coach, if i were to build power and speed for sprinting and vertical jumping would the powerliftng squat or the atg olympic squat be better for that goal? I'm trying to use your program design method to train.
I will use both but will ham/glutes or quads play a bigger role in this case? I heard power is all ham/glutes when sprinting, thus powerlifting squat would be better...?

Good stuff. I'm 17 and can only get 405 once, hopefully within the next few months I can get a few more reps.

@pushaman1983 Olympic style squats have the bar high on the traps. Powerlifting style squats have the bar low on the shelf of the traps to reduce the distance you have to move the bar in the squat. Form is good.

the bar was pretty high on his shoulders. almost on his neck. Form???
what kind of Olympic squat was that? aren't OLY squat suppose to be performed with extreme depth???
