Sheihk of Dubai's 747-400 departs KLEX

Sorry for the motion and the truck traffic. I didn't know this was going to happen and the wife and I just happened to be in the area when he left. This is actually taken with the video dial on my Sony Cybershot. The Prince of Dubai visiting Kentucky to buy million dollar horses departs Lexington's Bluegrass Airport KLEX the same airport that Comair 5191 crashed from back in August, 2006. This is some serious raw engine power! Watch the dirt from the right side being kicked up. Rotation about 3,500-4,000 feet. You can hear my wife at the end say, "Wow-wee!"

This plane probably was fully loaded with fuel. They probably flew somewhere else with a longer runway and then re-fueled for the flight to Dubai.
