I lived very near this street, and trust me, its a huge, very highly used important road that goes across the entire southern half of Seoul. Which is where a lot of businesses and important areas. I was told by my schoolteacher that the road was named to thank Iran for selling Korea oil in a special deal when Korea needed it desperately.

Seoul street in iran is also a famous and big street .
connecting Vanak to Chamran is not a usual street !!!
Of course. In the 1980s, many Korean companies and workers went to Iran and built many buildings there.
Since then, our two countries have a really good relationship and Iran is reall so well liked and welcome in Korean people's heart.
So, in the 1980s the two governments decided to establish a very big street in each other's capital in order to accent the good ties between our countries.

I am surprised to how much the Koreans respect Iran. The video stated that Tehran Street is the only street in Seoul to have a foreign name. My best friend is Korean
