@hagamablabla All of the story of stuff is lies made up by Annie Leonard. Go research before you comment on this topic.

@TheChristmasFan What is your bullshit, you think that everythign is fine and we don't need to change anything?
-
What is this bullshit, you know that The Story of Stuff is lies

@gibblets17 there's not even one chinese or russian in this video
think wisely before you leave your comment
and now who's talking about capitalism and socialism here?
it's about EVIRONMENT
-
wow you are a fool who obviously doesn't speak English very well. you are obviously not American and while you are entitled to you opinion i would like to tell you now ... no one gives a shit about you or your crappy ass socialism. capitalism is what made this country great. government intervention and bailouts run by the unions and obama are what is killing our country. socialism never helped anyone. ever. soviets and Chinese killed more then Hitler ever dreamed off killing.
-
What if the intent of the video is to influence children to support the environmentalism industry, before they can form any criticisms of it?

That film is targeted at 3rd or 4th grade children.
It is not meant to educate the public, pull the transcripts and run them thru a Flesch-Kincaid readability test.
That script was written very carefully with the intent to indoctrinate !

Many of the comments regarding this video are completely missing the point... the objective of this classroom exercise wasn't to prove that the students are lazy, or can't work Google, or are just "morons." This project is HIGHLIGHTING the fact that there is an absence of solutions presented in Ms. Leonard's video! In a film that is meant to educate the public, there should be tangible solutions presented, not just scare tactics.

Annie's video should be titled "The left-wing, progressive view of the world and how we intend to indoctrinate kids into thinking the same way we do so our social justice agenda can be perpetrated around the globe.
Or may something more concise, like "Junk Science for Fools".

I work for KQED in San Francisco and learned about your response to "The Story of Stuff" from the "Learning Now" blog on the PBS Teachers Web site. After watching this video, I was inspired to help other students and teachers learn more about podcasting. Thank you! Keep up the great work! We're counting on you.
