Michael Jordan Switches Hands Vs. Lakers; Game 2, 1991 NBA Finals:
"The succinct call from Marv Albert is iconic: "Oh! A spec-tac-ular move by Michael Jordan!" The mid-air switch from right hand to left was one of 13 consecutive made field goals for Jordan (who went 15-18 for the game), as the Bulls turned a close game against the Lakers into series-tying blowout which propelled them toward their first NBA championship. Not to be forgotten in the Bulls eventual series-win over Los Angeles was the play of Scottie Pippen, who logged more playoff minutes in the championship run than any other Bull and led Chicago in scoring in the Game 5 clincher with 32." - NBA.com

  • You gotta do something pretty damn cool to get Phil to smile like that.

  • That has to be the greatest "unnecessary" move of all time.

  • ironic doug collins who called that game, ended up coaching him in washington

  • @nychampionship lol

  • @nychampionship Jordan has said the he felt the dunk was going to be blocked; which is why he stated he switched hands. His immediate reaction and fist pumping under the basket makes one wonder if he said that with a silent wink. The Greatest ever I guess can do and did what he wanted. Semper Fi.

  • great but thats just showing off

  • shit if this is 41 i wonder what # 1 is.. Shit

  • one of the most overrated moments in playoff history...

Dr. J's baseline scoop shits all over this.

  • @neilaninoneil Not really, it just shows how much hangtime and vision he had. He saw Perkins coming over to help on the right side when he was already in the air, Perkins just did the right thing by not following through on the block attempt or else this would have been even higher.

  • Uneccasary switch

  • First time when i saw Phil's smile

  • @TheMoparDrvr Haha don't worry. I'm not a retarded bias fanboy of LeBron/Kobe. Both good players, but c'mon THIS IS MJ we're talking about.
