Jeff Bell of the Fellowship Baptist church in Cobourg wanted to stage a debate featuring Rev. Joe Boot and looked to the Cobourg Atheist to find the atheist view. Dr. Clare Rowson, a retired psychiatrist and humanist from Belleville volunteered. I think she did a great job although Joe Boot would not convince anyone who is looking for rational arguments.
Part 2 - A sample of questions
"one man's good is another man's pleasure".....turned it off at that point. suffering is completely consistent with atheism, which posits a world governed by cold impersonal physical forces...the God of classical theism has alot of ad hoc explaining to do.

Aphex, are you suggesting that things and actions that are considered evil are only evil because of preference? The argument is not that atheists believe in the existence of evil. The argument is that their worldview cannot account for evil and in turn cannot call anything evil.

there may not be evil in some objective sense, but Atheists certainly believe in suffering, and it's certainly a thing that is real, not an illusion, and most Atheists I know believe in it's existence daily.
