why is the doctor dressed like a cop?

my thyroid swells on the right hand side..and it gets bigger..and i feel some pressures on it espaecially when im stressed..please help me with this..im afraid to go to a doctor..

All I can advise you to do is to get over your fear and go to your doctor since it is hopeless to examine someone textvise.

Grab a friend by the hand or anything, just get to the doctors, ok?

My thyroid hormones were normal -- perhaps a bit subclinical hypothyroid -- but normal. Ultrasound determined my left lobe was about 6cm x 2.2cm x 1.9cm and my right lobe was about 5.7cm x 2.2cm x 2.3cm. I was on a high soy diet for eight months followed by 8 months of taking 50-150mg of iodine in the form of Iodoral supplement a day. I've been off both for three weeks. Anyone have any idea how long it'll take to get my enlarged thyroid down?
