since u know the dimensions of the tile, wouldn't it be easier to just measure the area you wanna tile and then adjust your "rectangle" accordingly to fit full tiles? if anything, just cut the tile.
u can'teven see the dumb lines after putting mortar anyway

badass i had no idea this was so easy i always thuaght tiling was a bitch to do. maybe i can do it for my bathroom cuz my walls are ugly i buaght a new home and it looks gay maybe this will make it look better, yay. :D
