RECEPTOR 2 PRO and RECEPTOR 2 PRO MAX
These new models of Receptor are faster, smarter, and better in all respects than the previous generation. They feature entirely new computational engines including incredibly fast dual-core processors that offer twice the power of the previous generation, new SATA-2 storage systems that offer three times more disc bandwidth, 10 times the networking speed, and 50% more memory that is twice as fast as before.

  • This guy knows what he is talking about.

  • Thanks whoever posted this, it's fantastic to hear such a creative musical genius explain / demonstrate some of the equipment they use! Oh and I will argue with anyone until I die that I love you goodbye (which I want at my funeral) and Close but no cigar are two of the greatest and best constructed songs ever written.

  • This seems great but How would one visualize the GUI of the plugin when its running on Receptor? What if one needs to tweak the parameters of the soft synth and have that MIDI CC info recorded out from the Receptor back to an outboard sequencer like an MPC or Alesis MMT8 etc etc?

    I

  • sooo, have I got it right: I can actually move my high quality vst plugins from my pc to that module and play them throught that? How about the other midi controls? Can I like program my midi controller faders and stuff to control the volume of different plugins and stuff in that module?

  • ok, but that's not the receptor 2, it's the 1

  • Amazing stuff and whatever Thomas says is relevant and practical. But what about those who love that pure analogue sound by using analogue synthesisers without the emulation of it in digital format? This is not just about sounds but what you do with your hands (usually) to get those sounds. I mean like turning the knobs, wiring, etc. are much more interesting and convenient than clicking a mouse to get that sound especially in a live electronic music playing scenario.
