This is a new guitar to me. I was looking for another guitar that I could experiment with alternative tunings, particularly DADGAD. I came across this guitar at the tavern I frequent and played at on St Paddy's day. The Owner of Jim's Restaraunt (AKA Shady Eye Saloon) was a friend of Bruce Fletcher who died of cancer several years back. Jim purchased this guitar at a benefit for Bruce and has had it in the office of the bar ever since. It has a few minor dings, but was really never played. I actually took the plastic off the pick guard. Jim sold it to me at a very reasonable price and told me a bit about Bruce. I felt obliged to do a little song for his memory - even though we never met, I came across this guitar through him. What I was told about this fellow is that he was a kind fun loving man. I think he would have liked this song - particularly that he knew his time was coming. Thanks for listening! (sorry for the pained look on my face, this is at the high end of my range)
does anyone know the name of the version of this song that Jason Walton sang on The Waltons?

@thinkersrock69 Not sure that he sang this song - but there is another song with the same tune - perhaps "acres of clams"?

LOL! I've actually heard that before, but I think he can run faster than me (unless of course he is chasing me)!
