What Howard Stern's Mom Wouldn't Let Him Get.

http://LeashesandLovers.com I never thought I'd be saying this, but Shock Jock Howard Stern - shocked me as we have something in common.

We both had parents who didn't believe dogs belonged in the house. He says his probably didn't want the responsibility and in my case, mine didn't want the mess or the alleged mess. I'm sure we kids were contributing enough to that as my parents made a litter of their own - 5 kids.




So here in such a diverse world of opinions, dogs can be a significant factor to not only bring people together, but to shed some light on the matter.

While I'm not the demographic to listen to Howard's show, I could chat with him about dogs and found him to be practically an alter boy when talking about animals. He's so masterful in his gentle pursuit to persuade others to adopt that he's like the sought after preacher with a substantial Sunday sermon a' la story to boot.

OK, so it just so happens his wife, Beth is the spokesperson for the North Shore Animal League, but he is not only supportive of her endeavor, he's right there with her. He could choose to not attend fundraisers of the like, but he goes and stands with her, speaking out for animals.




Just when you think you may not like someone because of the things you believe they represent, the love of animals seems to break down the barriers to allow you to hear them with fresh ears.

He opened my eyes all because dogs opened our hearts.
