Trailers from the Future

A commentary on the exploitation of public tragedies for personal, corporate and political gain.

Done in the form of an evening at the movies:
A. the ads before the movie begins
B. a parody of a fifties educational film
C. previews for three upcoming features:
1. The Cheerleader (President Bush was a cheerleader at Yale)
2. Groundhog Day II -- a sequel to Groundhog Day (an eighties film wherein Bill Murray keeps repeating the same day over and over)
3. The Call Girls of Washington D.C. -- a seventies film parody commenting on the recent Washington scandal involving (among others) President Bush's Deputy Secretary of State Randall L. Tobias. Here we're imagining how he might exploit his notoriety by becoming a producer of (self-aggrandizing) exploitation films.
