@iSPaLiTo At least 100 000 Arabs and Berbers settled in Al Andalus. Given their social status and traditions, their number must have increased a lot during centuries. Therefore it is impossible that all Arabs and Berbers were massacred, and probably as many muladies were killed. In the 10th century, Slavs (Saqaliba) AND new Berber immigrants replaced old Arabs and old Berbers in the army. Not in the total population. But yes, it is obvious that most of Andalusis were of Iberian blood.

What is the country of origin?
He was so frightened that he got up at once, and wandered through the wilderness for a month. Later, he lived as a hermit in a grove of pine trees and served the Virgin.

This is from the Oxford Cantigas de Santa Maria database, none of it is my work, but theirs. :)

He disregarded his promise to the Virgin and married his girlfriend.
On his wedding night, as he was lying in bed, the Virgin appeared to him and rebuked him for being unfaithful to her.
The bridegroom would not leave his bride, so the Virgin lay down on the bed, and separated him from his wife. She demanded that he leave at once.
