  • You're a bit of an air-head, aren't you?

  • Why do you need to vacuum seal supplies? I understand you would want want to water proof supplies, which you can do with normal ziplocks, as you know, but why the need for vacuum sealing things like a hat? Bandages I can understand.

  • @cudbwrse

to have a dry hat in an emergency

  • A shop vac should work . . .

    Very interesting as always!

  • @USNERDOC

Have you had any issues with the zipper bags loosing their air tight seal over time?

  • you paid for the bags and pump use the damn thing!

    besides it saves time

  • The brand bags used in this video cost around $8 for 8 bags; Glad sells the exact same product for $3.50 for 12 bags. A shop-vac or any vacuum with a hose atachment will work but only cover one half of the "valve". The intense vacuum of the shop-vac can damage the valve if you cover the entire circled area with the hose end. I sealed dry beans using the one gallon Glad vacuum bags and a small shop-vac a month ago and all but one (valve damaged) are still holding their vacuum and hard as bricks!

  • Dude....You suck..

  • i have found that the ones with that seal dont hold up long term for food.

  • Do those zipper bags actually hold a seal for a long period of time?

  • @USNERDOC haha a shop vac does work i just finished trying it
