  • There's the super Nintendo and the super famacom but why do people forget the super Nintendo pal

  • I grew up with the clunky SNES design, so I really remember it fondly. But I have to admit, that from a straight forward design perspective, the Super Famicon is a lot nicer looking. Either way, it was and still is one of the best gaming consoles of all time. SMW, FF6, ChrTrg, Earthbound, FZero, LttP, MMX, UN Squadron, Yoshi's Island, MarioRPG, Goemon, Pocky, etc. the list goes on and on and on and on... This device left a lasting impression on my life and I couldn't be more happy about that!

  • What happened? Nintendo of America hired someone to design the case who realized that rainbow buttons/logo looks absolutely terrible on a console that is otherwise entirely grey. The subdued purple and lavender of the SNES goes much better with the grey. The SFAM is also way too smooth, it has no real detail to it, where-as the SNES had these nice angles that really fit with the sort of commercial art design you would see at the time.

  • I think the U.S. Super Nintendo looks better.

  • I got the SNES for Christmas 1992. I was given the SNES, Super Mario World, Mario Paint, Street Fighter 2, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (abbreviating it cheapens the game) and the Super Scope 6 bundle. I love this system, hands down the greatest ever, I firmly believe people still follow Nintendo because of this. Also, we have the Playstation because of this. It was supposed to be an add-on for the SNES like the Sega CD was. This is quite possibly the best console ever.

  • i think you've fallen victim to first come first love. the famicom system looks dated, like an old betamax player. the snes looked more modern for the time

  • did everyone forget the snes can play super famicom games?

  • I don`t know I kinda like the SNES design better. Could be that it`s connected to fond memories, but I also just feel like the color scheme is balanced better, and I just really like how the power and reset buttons just slide right along that ridge on the top of it.

  • famicom looks like something right out of the late 70s, like a late 70's computer component. SNES looks 80s (newer).

  • i am happy to live in Euro and have the cool system :D

  • Nintendo acually did the sleek design when they re-released the snes later

  • I always wanted to eat those buttons ha
