  • hey icemanf109 i got to coppell jus wondering who are you and if i know you.... jus curious

  • yeah its cool, sean moriarty, senior

  • excellent video!

a quick question though - did your players have lyres to read their music?

and secondly: did your bassoon have a lyre?

I am a bassoonist in a marching band, and i have been forced to use a FLUTIST'S FRIEND lyre because we don't have a bassoon lyre. It's torture.

So it would be great if you could tell me? thanks :)

  • no for both answers. our players (plus me) have all their music memorized. its not really that hard because we play it so much.

  • The bassoon s really fitting with the music.. plus it carries well on the field.. amazing!!

  • Excellent recording.

  • First off, I'd like to commend you all on this performance. Yes I'm your mortal/musical enemy aka Duncanville. I think around 8:12 until the end the brass in general over articulated the 1 2 3 4&. I know it's marching band and you have to over articulate slightly but not that much. The original is actually more connected. still outstanding job on this show. see you guys in San Antonio!!

  • @xloserx4xchristx i kno my band director wanted me to do it for marching season i was like screw that its heavy and there is no lyer for it so i will stick to marching trumpet and playing bassoon for concert season

  • OMG THATS AMAZING I PLAY BASSOON FOR CONCERT SEASON BUT HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE ON THE FEILD

  • @Andhrassh

It was indeed on my arm. It was quite difficult to read and I ended up quitting because I couldn't our freestyle drill routine while reading music.

There aren't any bassoon lyres as far as I know.

  • @xloserx4xchristx a quick question then. How were you able to read from a flutist lyre?

A flutist lyre is fixed on the arm, isn't it?

And could you tell me, how the basson lyre looks like?

And finally, sorry about the grammar xD I'm not english.

  • oh ok dont know you but thats ok good show i kno a lot of people in band
