@MrRetahreggin I've surfed for 20 years all over the world. Foam is not always present. Even though I can't definitively say whether its salt or fresh, I'd put money on that being the ocean. Very loose sand, the color of the water and the aeration patterns in the surface are indicative of it most likely being the ocean. I've also spent quite some time around the great lakes and still think it's the ocean.
