  • Love this cut,so electric man!!!

  • Classic hard bop jazz, right from the start! I never tire of listening to Freddie's hot 'n' fresh ideas, on trumpet - he tears his way through an astonishing solo here, before Spaulding takes a rather rare (for THIS album) & inspiring turn on alto sax. Excellent backup work on all solos, both by pianist McCoy Tyner (he takes his own funky chorus later) & the entire ensemble, which has a bit of fun interjecting some communal comping, to back up each other's solo work - lovin' it!
