I never understood why people associate sharing with Communism. Communism is basically a government monopoly of the industry, so Microsoft (and other corporations such as Apple) are profit-incentive versions of the Communism monopoly. The GPL on the other hand promotes competition, as well as voluntary choice and cooperation.
