music isn't black or white. i might have said that about the detroit techno thing, it's better made by black folks. but then i thought... they got their ideas largely from kraftwerk. on top of this, autechre are white. so it's not a racial thing, that angle is tiresome. everyone has their own unique angle. different positives and negatives. respect to all styles.

All this shit about black or white is to me one more time nonsense stupidity . To beging with I don't even think music is only human or terrestrial , just listen to the stars man ! (without being offensive please)

Kraftwerk is not just sounds , it's electronic funk beats. And Techno is not just Kraftwerk it's also Tangerine Dream , Klaus Schulze, Depeche Mode and many more non African Dudes from that time. Detroit Techno is just one of several styles of electronic music that was created at the time, it has of course black background as many other great music that was made at the time in America.

scratch the surface of detroit techno and you will find kraftwerk written underneath it.

techno is the only electronic genre with the most complex beats. and that's why it is called techno. the beats of techno are actually hybrids of chicago house beats and electro funk beats and there are many variations of combining electro beats and house beats. in most of the techno tracks the bass kick is of house aka four kicks for 4/4. and also there are open hi hats and and closed hi hats. sometimes the kicks are funky as electro. there are a lot of hand claps and snare drums of electro
Most people who understand techno in the specific sense of the word do know that it's black. The general public doesn't, but that's because they don't understand the music, not because of some racial bias like you make it sound.

The question of orgin is important. It's a racial thing because in America that's what you are identified by. When people are miseducated about the orgin of Techno, that can determine if they would listen to it. "Oh I'm Black I don't listen to techno, that's white music!" same thing with rock and roll. There was a time when all this music was called JUNGLE MUSIC! so in a sense Techno is electronic jungle music!Don't get it twisted!
