  • How can you buy a wedding ring on the savings from your insurance when you're only saving $300? Luckily for AAMI everyone is too busy willing for her to be bludgeoned to death with a blunt object to notice that the whole premise of the ad makes no sense at all.

  • funny you say that. i analysed the commercial for an english project and that was one of the issues i raised.

  • @AndrewKoala You must be the "dense" one to say that the majority is always wrong.

  • Yeah i got the message Aami =)

  • I hate this ad!

  • I used to date her

  • @AndrewKoala It was a minority, actully, that thought the earth was flat. Most assumed that it was round at the time but to voice against the official opinion of the church was as good as suicide.

Why are you calling me names now? Was there any need to resort to that?

  • @Neithie - You are confusing language with a lack of literacy and grammar. Just because others are illiterate is no excuse for you to be. The majority use to think the earth was flat, and that the sun revolved around the earth. - The majority is always wrong. It is not how many people believe they know something, it is what is true and correct that matters. I accept that you are either mentally lazy or just dense. 'Eventually' starts NOW. Intelligent or dense - You choose..

  • @AndrewKoala

I know but it's just silly to bring a whole new debate into an already existing one. Besides, language goes where common society goes. If the major population uses adds instead then it'll eventually be that way.

I think a lot of people say 'adds' because of the way we pronounce it, honestly.

  • @Neithie - He wouldn't know the difference, because he either did not go to school or he fell asleep during lectures. It was just a waste of money on his education.

Either way, it just does not add up. And for the benefit of the uneducated it's 'Ad' (short for Advertisement) and not Add, which is short for Addition.
