I know but it's just silly to bring a whole new debate into an already existing one. Besides, language goes where common society goes. If the major population uses adds instead then it'll eventually be that way.

I think a lot of people say 'adds' because of the way we pronounce it, honestly.

Either way, it just does not add up. And for the benefit of the uneducated it's 'Ad' (short for Advertisement) and not Add, which is short for Addition.
