Pharaoh Uncrossed

Improvisation on a tap instrument I designed and build myself. I call the instrument The Pharaoh

No editing of the tone was done. The tone is from running the instrument straight into the computer.

Crossed and Uncrossed are tap instrument references to if the hands cross over the fretboard (Crossed) or not (Uncrossed).

really nice music and a briliant instrument,btw with how many strings is it equipped?

It has 12 strings in two courses. Each course is tuned to guitar intervals and are an octave apart. Thank you.

I hope to one day I will sell a more refined version - but I need to evolve the design. There are a lot of little design refinements that are needed.

With my life being as busy as it is, it will probably be two years or more before I build another one.

I am guessing that you are an experienced luthier,but if you weren`t,how hard is to design an build your own stringed instrument?

I spent more time in designing and planning than in making it. The actual making of the instrument took about 60 hours.

the humbuckers sound really good on touch instruments i wonder why some insist on single coils.Very nice build sir!
