It's time for some top notch ventriloquism! I played this clip for my wife and she started saying: "what the hell?, is that supposed to be funny?". So I told her: "just keep watching, give him a chance". Suddenly she starts laughing so hard she began to cry and I couldn't stop myself either. This segment does nothing but prove that you DON'T have to be smart or clever all the time in order to be funny.

  • i have that howdy doody

  • @thierryhotdogboy I love the name of your channel (Dummies Must Destroy Trolls). Will your Howdy Doody become an expensive collector's item in the future?

  • Unique, yes, I'll grant you that, but he was the furthest thing from funny there ever was. This clip just prooved it. People love Andy because he's an idiot and they loved him on Taxi, it's like Jim Carrey, after he did Ace Ventura it didn't matter WHAT he did next, he could drink a glass of water and people would laugh, IT'S NOT FUNNY PEOPLE!!

  • I respect your opinion but you cannot sit on a high mountain and pretend to dictate what others should or shouldn't laugh at. Andy didn't care if audiences loved or hated him, he was interested in strong reactions, that was what he always tried to achieve and draw from a crowd.

  • i love you

  • You love me or Andy? LOL I am glad you guys enjoyed this upload. Andy Kaufman was a truly special man. It's hard to go through this world doing something so unique and sticking to it.

  • I love him because he's loveable. The beauty of his soul just shines through. It's people like that that never live long enough. It's like they're not really here to endure the true test of life like the rest of us, they're here to be a light in ours.

  • you suck

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 i think it will

  • Fighting the big bad wolf

    Risky

  • Consider watching The Hilarious House of Frightenstein.

  • I understand what you`re trying to say, but he was meant to be part of the hard world ages of INTELLIGENCE and stupidity. Comedy now is a joke itself. I don`t think it`s funny - Either it`s sex or PURE stupidity. And he was in the rough bits. Maybe it was the same comedy, I don`t know. But now we can enjoy his life and love his performances. He was a blessing and a teaching to us. We`ll learn why he was given to us later in time, but now just enjoy his stuff

  • Really well said. His smile and enthusiasm is infectious. It's a shame we didn't get to see what he would have gone on to do.

  • o_o

  • Oh yeah!...

    British Man

    Bliss Ninny

    Laughing Man

    Sleeping Man

    Bored Angry Man

    Crying Man..

They're all listed in the Kaufman Bible (a.k.a. "Lost In The Funhouse")

It's sad... he was slowly getting kicked off TV... yet TODAY his act would be such a non-issue. People would love it. He'd have his haters.. but Comedy Central would've happily given him his own show.

Personally, the Sarah Silverman Program and Uncle Andy's Funhouse back-to-back on Thursdays would be my DREAM... ;-)
