I Heart You- Chapter Three

Nick's POV

I don't know why I did that but I did. I'd always loved Ashlyn....We were so close together our lips were millimeters from each other. Happy she wasn't pulling away I was about to kiss her when we heard them coming upstairs. I pulled away and removed my arm from around her just in time. The door came open. Emily put herself on the couch and Kevin and Joe looked at me strangely. "Can you play now Ash?" Emily asked. "Yea...I guess so..." Ashlyn replied. She smiled a little and put down the guitar. "We should watch a movie..." Emily said. "Yea!!!" Joe and Ashlyn said. "C'mon Ash, let's go pick one out." Emily said. When the girls left to get a movie I prayed to God they wouldn't talk about what just happened. Joe gave me a really weird look. "Did you kiss her?" He asked. "No!! Joe...We're JUST FRIENDS." I said. Kevin smirked. "What?" I asked. "You wrote Just Friends about Ashlyn..." He said. I sighed. "We got onee!!!" Emily came back holding up a horror movie.
"Are you sure about this?" I asked putting in the DVD. "Yea...I live for scary movies..." Ashlyn said, smiling. But about half way through the movie she was really scared. I slowly put my arm around her shoulder and sighed with relief when she didn't pull away. The more scared she got the closer she was to me. Near the end of the movie she was basically asleep, propped against me. Kevin turned on the eyes and she sat up rubbed her eyes and looked at me. "You make a nice pillow..." She said. "Hey Guys, I'm ordering pizza, what do you want?" Joe asked. Ashlyn shrugged. "I don't care...just make sure he holds the anchovies..." When she said that we both started laughing, picturing the guy holding anchovies. Just like the old days..

About 20 minutes later the doorbell rang and we ran downstairs, eager to dig into the 3 pizzas Joe had ordered. But when Kevin opened the door it wasn't a pizza guy standing there...
