  • 2:27 cmon Ivo, the fuck...

  • Your case clearly demonstrates that human stupidity has no end. I have been listening to Mozart's Requiem this morning. Apart from the fact that the best part is not by Mozart but by Süssmayer (the BENEDITUS), Michael Haydn's is a much more venturous work.

    What else do you need??

  • @C2209w Phahahahahaha! What did you listen of Mozart? 2nd movement from Piano concerto K467, Turkish march, Eine kleine Nachtmusik.. anything else?

Don't mess with GODS! Did you listen to Requiem, for Christ's sake??

  • @Verityseo I don't know the answer to that question. What is sure (for me anyway), is that i still prefer mozart's Adagios.

  • @fishbonegroove - I don't know the edition since the music was copied from the library probably 30 years ago! The edition is probably German. My edition has an asterisk at measure 14 saying that the Artaria edition has a d natural there. My first exposure to this piece was a recording by Gilbert Kalish records. He plays the D flat.. At bar 14 the phrase starts in Ab toward a semi cadence on Eb at bar 20. The d nat at bar 14 comes too soon. It should not appear until bar 19. Make sense?

  • @chouchamayo Just out of curiosity, what edition do you have? Also, is the bass on measure 14 also playing d flat? BTW it's not harmonically 'incorrect' to play d natural, since it spells a V7 chord (Bb - D - F - Ab) that resolves on Eb at measure 15. Not many things could be more harmonically orthodox than this!

  • @Santor6 - Not sure if you are really interested but here is my reply. Apparently there are different editions of this sonata. My edition has different accidentals are measures 14 and 53 and I happen to think that they are correct and that the edition Ivo is using is wrong.

As far as my credential. I am the reincarnation of Franz Lizst. So there!

  • @chouchamayo What credential you have to say this. I look on your profile, percusions and blues. You are not classical pianist. Then what give you any rigth to harsh comment?

  • He's playing the incorrect notes at measure 14. Should be a d flat. He plays d natural and it sounds terrible. He does the same harmonically incorrect thing in the recap at measure 53 where he plays a g natural instead of a g flag. Either he has a terrible edition or he has terrible taste. His performance of Brahms Amajor Intermezzo is also eccentric and self indulgent.
