I forgot to mention that the match types that he has gotten involved in also helped him a bit. Ladder, raw steel cage, street fight, strap match, and hell in a cell. I wont mention Elimination chamber because when he was involved he was already over.

Even though HHH was never in the spotlight the way Rock or Austin was, one could argue that without HHH The Rock would have never gotten over as the face he did. The majority of the time that Rock was a face he was going against HHH especially during the time of Rockys superstardom. However, one could also argue that HHH's main reason for being over as a heel on the main event level is his alliance with the Mcmahons. I wonder how hated levesque would have been without Stephanie by his side.

You could say both of those things. Very good points, but I do think HHH's rise as a mega heel came in because of his promos just as much as the storyline. If he wouldn't have cut it on the mic the storyline would have been dropped because it needs a guy with strong mic skills. Rock had a lot heat back then with the fans. They didn't like his gimmick too much. HHH basically didn't have to do much. Just the basic DX kind of stuff. Rock really had to step up his game, and he did.

Im sure HHH was at home watching Raw the other night and in aww of the pop that Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio got in their tag team match last night. That crowd, which wasn't even close to sold out, lost their shit from about 3 minutes towards the end of that match. Then you have smackdown the week before and Triple H in the main event. You could have heard a pin drop during that match.

I jus made a video about that. They had everyone into that match and went crazy right until the end, it was perfect in so many ways. No one wants to see HHH vs Khali. I'm sorry but Khali can barely move in reality so why is he fighting for the title. To top it off he's making Khali look incredible week. Cena on the other hand made him look really strong. Another bad ending this week was the three man tag when Manu hit his finisher, the crowd was so silent.

I almost forgot. How much did the steroids have to do with getting HHH over? His ring presence isn't what it was cause now hes a lot smaller. I remember how small he was before he got on them. He was about HBK's size.

Rock was hated early on before he was a heel, but by the time he was going against Austin rock started getting a lot of fans. 1/4 of my 8th grade class at the time were Rock fans even when Rock was a heel, and as much as I didn't like the guy I thought he was the most entertaining heel I had ever seen. It didn't take long for me to love him as a face when Austin went down. I always wondered if Rock would have gotten as big as he was without having Austin leaving for over a year.
