"Michael Moore's provocative new film 'Capitalism: A Love Story' -- it is a fierce attack on our economic system at a time when many Americans are wondering what what wrong on Wall Street and why our economy was nearly brought to the brink of collapse last year. Many critics are calling the documentary Moore's best ever and he says it's the film he's been waiting to make for 20 years." -- Good Morning America host, Chris Cuomo, September 23rd, 2009

Saying good morning (okay... afternoon) to America every day on http://www.michaelmoore.com/

  • @carwile75 Your right you know that. you hit the nail on the head. He is one of thew 1% who owns all the wealth. It's a pitty tho he stands up for the small guy, goes out on a limb like. Like the guy who has a website who slags of moore every day. His wife had to have surgery for cancer, but he had to shut down his websight to pay for it. Moore payed for the guys, wife's surgery why? Coz thats the type of guy moore is. Moore a real American.

  • Capitalism is not the problem, it's crony capitalism which is not a true form of capitalism. The bail outs should have never taken place. Also, I find it interesting that Michael Moore says absolutely nothing about the role of the government in making it possible for this crisis to occur. The Federal Reserve, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and congress contributed to this situation just as much if not more than the banks. The real answer is found in libertarian ideas and austrian economics.

  • @troykool14 Without massive regulation capitalism doesnt work...that has been proven time and time again. The problem is that our goverment has a lot to gain by keeping the market deregulated. A lot (not all) of member of congress get money from financial institutions to keep the market deregulated. Hence the housing crash. Capitalism with out regulation does not work. Maybe time for something new...shall I say the S word...

  • @thetapheonix

as for college...how many years do americans have to serve in the army before they can even think of going to college? oh wait "zero" b/c you don't even have a draft. In communist states you graduate from high school, and are in the army for a minimum of 8 years. plus, when you pay tuition in the US, you generally expect there will at least be heating in your lecture hall? not too mention lunch in the cafeteria? all things you take for granted thanks to capitalism.

  • @thetapheonix

The worst famines in the 20th century all occurred under Communist regimes due to the failure of communist policies. 45 million dead from famine in China, 7 million dead in Ukraine, 5 million dead in Russia, 3 million dead in North Korea all due to manmade, state-created famine. as for healthcare at least hospitals in the "capitalist" US have electricity.

  • Money is a lie.Money is a man-made creation because of controlling the people who are not enough closer to center of the state or organization.Banking system is something who decide who or how we use this source. They never let lose their non-centeric slaves but also never let them take a power which can be a threat against the system health. If you want to destroy capitalism, you should start from banks.

  • @troykool14 Glad to see there are actually people who understand the difference between the Free Market and Corporatism.

  • I support some form of Capitalism, just not the one that rewards for Failure!

  • @thetapheonix So, no choice is the way to go? Wishing all society to suffer equally because one's own frustrated efforts are fruitless is selfishness in it's worst form. You are confusing the free market with corporatism and the effects on the market due to big government. Btw, ignorance has nothing to do with not attending college. It can actually be the contrary. Kids will often take their professor's words as law and suddenly think they know it all based on those influential opinions.

  • "Oh by the way. its a comedy" priceless

  • @TheSharen42 You are right. Under capitalism you are "free" to starve or free to die because you cannot afford healthcare. You are free to stay ignorant because you cannot afford college. That is what a free market is.

  • @JokersSerious Except that as an obese man who obviously doesn't care about his health, he's just one of millions of Americans who've driven up US HC costs to unaffordable extremes. The man is a fat hypocrite who makes money off the very system he claims to criticize.
