This is a video from the BACOG Water Resources Initiative that visualizes the configuration and extent of soil materials with various hydraulic conductivities in the Barrington Area. Shallow aquifer materials are the water bearing units from which most of wells in the Barrington Area draw their daily-use water. These aquifers lay within several hundred feet of the ground surface. This model estimates the distribution of such materials in a 600 square mile area.
