A mindmap is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged circa a important essential word or idea. Mindmaps are used to generate, visualize, systematize, and classify ideas, and as an benefit in study, organization, problem solving, decision making, and writing.
The elements of a given mind map are arranged intuitively according to the position of the concepts, and are classified into groupings, branches, or areas, with the aim of representing semantic or other connections between portions of information. Mind maps may also aid recapture of existing memories.

PEST analysis stands for "Political, Economic, Social, and Technological analysis" and describes a framework of macro-environmental factors used in the environmental scanning component of strategic management.
