Clash of the Bionoids: Roy Gets Drunk

A drunken Roy Focker delivers a sexist and vaguely Australian rant in Macross: Clash of the Bionoids, which features some of the finest D-list voice actors Hong Kong had to offer circa 1988.

Clash of the Bionoids is, of course, the laughably dubbed version of Macross: Do You Remember Love, which has never been properly released in North America. Clash, meanwhile, survives in VHS bargain bins across the nation.

Agreed, I have the same version you have. Clash of the Bionoids is the kid-friendly 80 min version that totally cut out a lot of footage.

Before you fault the dubbing too much. Remember, this dub was done by Toho themselves like they do their own dubs for their Godzilla movies. So the dialogue is more or less accurate.
