  • I use Cantu shampoo/conditioner,leave in and super shine silk, but i cant use any of the other products because my hair doesnt need it/ just rejects any oil. I have to wash/condition everyday because i have oily scalp naturally. I'm mixed-spanish,black,white,indian. I have no kink to my hair what so ever. Its texture is a smoother version of Kelis(the singer)curls/waves and thick and cut in the same hairstyle as Willow Smith so i keep it straight everyday with a flat iron.Cantu keeps it healthy

  • @cheetah1 can I just say that I would love to have your texture and be careful washing your hair everyday. You don't want to wash out the nutrients. Tru going down to 2 or 3 times a weeks.

  • @ATFierce =].....i'm def gonna try that but i know its gonna kill me lol

  • @cheetah1 lol, well you have great hair for experimentation. And you look like you'd be cute but your twitcon is profile. You can never trust profile.

  • hey abe fyi dry your hair about 90% before putting in conditioner, when you have wet hair your hair wont absorb as much of the conditioner

  • @jaziibleu thank for that tidbit of info. (=

Relaxed hair is far easier to straighten with an iron, and much more manageable to style and take care of. The practice originated after slavery, when black people were trying to assimilate into white society. They found it difficult to do this with curly hair. Many black women still straighten their hair, but many black men do not.

  • @SinclairisCool Black people need to relax their hair, because each strand is very flat and kinky, meaning that it is tightly curled and easily broken. If a black person gets a hair brush stuck in his or her hair, it is difficult to remove without breaking some of the hairs. It's also very difficult to manage long African hair, because of its curliness. Relaxing hair treats hair with lye (sodium hydroxide) or ammonium thioglycolate so that the hair briefly takes on the texture of thread, and

  • I'm White and I don't mean to sound stupid but why do black people need to relax their hair? What does that involve? And why does it need to be done?

  • Your hair reminds me of a herseys kiss XD
