Most of the purple non-sulfur bacteria in this video are not motile. They are flowing in one direction (tsunami motion--this is not motility) and occasionally the direction of the flow changes due to drying of the slide preparation. But some cells are highly motile. Look for individual cells to scoot quickly across the field of view and for some to wiggle their way across.
