The wrong one lol, that sounds like modulation or something, he needs 2 pitch pedals assigned to 2 step sequences, one pitch pedal whammy +1 octave and the other whammy -1 octave, then just set the sequences to the rythym you hear in the song, I know the -1 whammy only spikes 3 times and the +1 spikes 5 times, the rest are -1.00, he just needs to figure them out :P

Also, he needs some sort of distortion running through a clean amp, I'm going to upload a cover as a reply if thats ok?

the guitar effect is totally wrong, use a step sequencer with a pitch shifter and pitch shitft octaves.

I think it was an honest attempt...but your drummer is bad, he's the weakest link. If you'd to try this with a different drummer everything else would fall in place better...
