u know what... i've stayed in sofitel in 2004 n 2006 n it is better than the zam zam towers that i've just stayed in 2009. zam zam suite is good that u can directly see the kaaba but the they havent change the carpet for so long n the window is so dirty... i cannot complain this in mecca but i save it for now in my country...

Masha'Allah.... I really miss Sofitel, my last stay there was in 2007. I had a wonderful room with balcony and faced the Haram. In 2008 Sofitel was gone, :( but alhamdulilah we stayed in Ashohoda on Ajiyad street. Verrrrryyy nice , masha'Allah very nice hotel. Although Sofitel was indeed very special for me...sigh ....Alhamdulilah!

SubhanAllah! it has been. This summer there was just a mound of dirt where Sofitel once stood. I loved this place as well.

This magnificient hotel has been totally demolished for the expansion of the Haram, I loved Makkah Sofitel :(
