This is probably my last N64 title for now (I'm surprised I went through so many in only a couple days). This is a decent combat (or kart-style) racing game developed by Rare, published by Nintendo, and distributed by Disney Interactive Studios. It looks and feels like a more mediocre Diddy Kong Racing but with iconic Disney characters (which should come as no surprise if you read the second sentence). It features several courses, characters, weapons and a few modes. The stages are designed well enough and the characters handle unusually well, but a lot of stages are unnaturally short. The game looks and sounds good enough. The game can utilize Dolby Surround as well as switch between normal (4:3 aspect ratio) and widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) display.

This is a video of the introduction (waiting when it says to press start) and a couple of races. Enjoy.

  • nice gameplay i think even with your skill they still kept up with you

  • @xValis77x Yeah. For some reason, it seems like one of the computers are always right behind you no matter how fast you move. It could be rubberband-physics to always keep the game competitive.

  • Another kart-racing game by the makers of Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie... and also their second kart racer after Diddy Kong Racing.

  • I wish there was a remake of this game on gamecube.

  • does anybody know if theres more unlockables other than dewy luey hewy and dr

  • You can't be Luey? He's the best Disney character!!!

  • Ah, the nostalgia of this game. It was pretty cool back in the day. It's no Diddy Kong Racing, but it was still fun for what it was.

  • I remembered this game. Fun times when I had played it. I should track the game down.

    -k.t.
