@shadowofthewarriors No, Pat didn't explain his play. I think it's correct, as it gives him the most outs, which is more or less any burn, and me the fewest outs. Geistflaming to get back the Phoenix is also an idea, but at that point I'm at 7, with 5 turns after the Volley to draw something. He needs to draw burn at that point anyway to kill me before I drop a 5+ drop, I think it's better to have me at 3 and not need to trust on combat at that point.

@nesthead98 did pat explain his play at 8:19 to you by any chance? I think if he brimstone volleyed the demon to kill it and take a large amount of pressure off but later geistflamed to the face for the phoenix, it would probably have been a good outcome for him rather than gambling on topdecking burn.

Why that's deck use koth¿? Is totally freak. to convert only one of two mountains and make ultimate for 2 maybe 3 mountains!! :S

@nesthead98 I also had Batterskull and Sword of War and Peace to consider, but those both require me to survive two more turns, and I couldn't trust that to happen.

In case if anyone was wondering why I was taking so long to think about my Rune-Scarred search, it was because if I took Timely, if Pat didn't swing with the Mountain, I was dead to the Koth ultimate, and if I took O-Ring, I was dead to another Koth or any burn spell. As for Pat keeping his Birds instead of Phoenix, he had a Geistflame in his yard, so I assume he figured he could rip a land or Titan, and I was under serious trouble.
