  • y are the booms where the bucket is connected always so small on the big trackhoes?

  • Well not always, in this case its because, it is the ME (Mass Excavating) moddel, it has a shorter arm, so that it can handel a bigger bucket.

Every manufacturer makes a ME moddel in there big series

  • is it 6m3 bucket??

  • 6 or 7m3 cant remember

  • what quarry is this?

  • It is in Denmark

  • Yeeee ME is maximal power.

  • ME series means Mass Excavator...also the short stick... which means more power when excavating...

  • longer front ( boom & stick ) = less ass (weight)

  • It is all about leverage. Longer boom(stick) = less leverage, but greater reach. Shorter boom = more leverage and therefore, more power to dig through harder or heavier material faster. Most of the time when people bring in a big excavator (C 365, 385, etc.) they are looking for production in moving large quantities of material efficiently. For that, smaller stick is better. But sometimes you want the reach of a longer stick to dig deeper or reach farther (an advantage is wet terrain).

  • it depends on the job if he loads 180 degrees or not
