@MowgliX: I just found this movie on DVD a month ago, and I enjoyed it immensely!! I never get tired of watching it over and over again!! Michael Caine, Karl Malden, and Ed Begley were excellent, and yes, it's true that the lovely Françoise Dorléac was taken from us too early at the age of 25...

I liked this movie and all of Deighton's books. Ironically, 20 years later, Intel would build a new factory to make Pentium chips that cost one billion dollars! By 20007 you could buy a laptop for a $1000 that out could out-work the computers of 1967. How time flies!

Very cool 1960s movie. You need to see it! It stars the coolest British star ever, Michael Caine, and the most beautiful French actress, Françoise Dorléac, who died so young.

@nswms992000 Françoise Dorléac is adorable and wonderful in every way, don't you think so? This was her last movie. She died in a very bad car crash near Nice in the south of France. Wikipedia has the whole story. One of the most beautiful and charming women ever.
Of course, Karl Malden is a legend, and so is Michael Caine. I'd say that certainly, among male actors of that era, Michael Caine is the one I admire the most. Too cool for words! And he still is! I love his recent films too.
