  • As far as I know, there is only one kit available for the GT1000. It has removable "baffles" or "db killers" as some call them. They are removed in this video. The sound is lovely for those who like it, but very loud for the street, I think. But, the standard "db killer" inserts sound just like the stock mufflers. So, I modified the inserts with six drilled holes and ended up with something in between that I used most of the time.

  • love the sound....do the pipes give you much extra power? If so is it noticeable? I may invest for my gt 1000

  • Yes, it is definitely a difference you can feel. The kit includes a new computer chip and airbox top that is open, along with "certified" mufflers. In the video the removable baffles are out. Its a great sound but waaay loud that way. With baffles in its same sound as stock. I now run it with modified baffles (extra holes drilled and internal tube blanking plate removed. The sound is good and a little easier to live with (from my perspective).

  • Hi Redcyclemel, Did you buy both termi's from ducati online shop website?

Did you only buy termi's muffler or complete with pipe?

    thanks

  • The mufflers were a kit I bought from the local dealer. It consists of the two mufflers, a replacement ECU (computer chip) and a new top for the airbox which allows more air flow. Headpipes are stock. I don't think you can buy this online.

  • best sound I have heard a gt make. Is that a honda behind?

  • That's my son's 1973 CB500.

  • Superb sound. What a great bike. I loved piped twins. But none sound quite as good as a Ducati with Termis. I have a V-Strom with Leo Vinces and it's neater than stock ... but man your Duc really sounds bad!!!!

  • I'm curious, what Termignoni do you use --- the racing or street standard? The Ducati dealership confuses me when I ask.

  • @mdub925 No it was silver with a black seat.

  • @buttnut1080 was it black & tan ? w/bags ? dat's me !!

  • beast!

  • I saw a beautiful silver GT1000 in Chicago yesterday. Ducati honestly makes the best looking bikes you can buy. Which is not surprising seeing that Ducati is Italian

  • does anybody know what is this thing's top speed? I couldn't even get a look at the speedo

  • You know how many hp acquires with the kit termignoni?

  • Brilliant....thanks for taking the time to write me back. I appreciate it.
