I read on the Atari Museum that a fully functional prototype of a true self-centering joystick exists. In testing, it fared far better than the controllers sold with the 5200s at the time. Atari thought it "cost too much to improve on the controller" and halted its production right there. Piss-poor judgment on Atari's part.

@SuperSZ Except it actually ran without the need of a Cray Supercomputer when it came out.

Loved the 5200. Gets a bad rap. Controllers busting all the time sucked tho

That must have been the equivalent of today's Crysis :O ...

I don`t understand the game.... idk why

Agreed ! :-)
The music was running slight but slower too. Made the song much cooler

The Atari version was the best in terms of graphics. But the music on the C64 version was the best.

Thanks for the post! I've never forgotten this game. Especially those juicy sounds!
Looks identical to the 7800 version.

It is for the most part, aside from the 7800's graphics being a bit more crisp/less blocky. Also, the computer player's AI is much better on the 8-bit/5200 version for some reason (the 7800 one is often easier to beat.)
