My Game Collection: 1.1.11 Update (Christmas Edition!)

A lengthy and packed collection update on the heels of Christmas! Grab a comfortable seat and a cup of coffee. A great bunch of games here, including Strider on the Genesis and Clash at Demonhead on the NES. Newer releases include The Sly Collection, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. I also received some new manga, magazines and books, which I also go over.

The Mario compilation is pretty underwhelming, but it was only 30 dollars. Would I have preferred something packed with content but twice the price? I'm not sure.

Nice pick up with the Zelda Manga. I'm sure you know I'm a fan of those.

I'm playing through Ghoulies right now and it's issue is really just that's its repetitive. That's why I only play it once or twice a month. I still love it though.

How are the controls in Cursed Mountain? I've heard they really hamper the game.

@SilverMongooseVideos For $30, they could have made a much more interesting book, or compiled a heftier disc. They were already making those things and already have the source materials, they just had to put them together. It's not so much that the set doesn't come with much, a book and a soundtrack are fine, it's that the book and soundtrack are borderline empty. Any given FREE Iwata Asks provides more insight.

Controls in Cursed Mountain are a little stiff, but I find no real issues.

Sadly my wife can't buy me any games, but she did get me a subscription to Edge, which was nice.

Cool retro stuff, did you get them at the game store you always mention, or was it eBay?

@finngamer Is it because she doesn't understand games that well? My fiancee only games a little, but it's amazing how much information she picks up off hand.

I got all the retro stuff at my local shop. They just started carrying Xbox and Gamecube games because Gamestop doesn't really carry them any more, which is awesome.
