@vre655u So arguing against big government means I support the government? Are you smoking pot in Amsterdam right now? I'm not sure I understand how calling social democracy "democracy" is ironic.
And the gov't did not ignore its citizens - no other nation on earth could have mounted the scale of rescue operations that were undertaken. They were delayed several days due to the mayor and governor refusing federal help - both of whom have since been voted out of office.
