Russia has a military installation very close to that island.
Palin was the Commandernchief of the Alaskan National Guard which monitors US airspace there, and Russia does violate it often.

Watching this again little of a year later, I'm still surprised at how pissed she gets at Charlie. She must have one heck of a temper. .... No wonder Todd never opens his mouth when in her presence.
