Acrobatic Dog-Fight, 1984 Technos

This is the first in my series of rare arcade games. I rather like this game, though it's really time-consuming to pass the first level. As a fighter pilot, your goal is to reach the end of the level (the right edge of the screen; you start at the left) while dodging or shooting enemy planes and other aircraft piloted by pigs. Your fuel supply runs out pretty quick (especially if you press the "speed" button), but shooting enemies regains fuel. You can parachute out of your plane if it's hit and float to the ground (where another plane is waiting (but so are enemies, so watch out), or if you're careful you can hijack another plane by jumping onto it. A giant airship awaits at the end of the level where you must shoot all pigs aboard to clear the stage. An enjoyable rarity with a high silliness factor to add to the fun.

I remember seeing this at an arcade in either Vancouver or Seattle, WA in the mid-eighties. I haven't seen any bootleg roms, so I guess this is how the original board plays.

Another game, Mysterious Stones, was released by Technos the same year, I believe after this one. I have a video for it, too.

Before Mat Mania, before Kunio Kun, and before Double Dragon, Technos gave us... Acrobatic Dog Fight?

Was this game released in America? If so, was it modified like they did with Kunio Kun? The hero looks way too japanese.
