This project has been made at Hasselt University, academic year 2009-2010. This was for a course called "Design and Realization of High-Performance Multimedia and HCI-systems", which I followed in my first year of the Master of Informatics.

In this project, we developed a platform game for the Altera DE2-70 board, using a PS/2 keyboard for the input and a 4.3" LCD screen for the output. All has been written in plain Verilog code.
The main character of the platform game is Wesley the gnome, and he has to reach his home, his mushroom, within a specific time limit. If he can't make it on time, he'll lose a life and he'll have to start over again. Wesley gets four lives to begin with... if he has lost them all, the game is over and he has lost. The game will be won when Wesley enters his mushroom on time, of course.
Not only has Wesley the time limit against him, but on certain platforms he also risks to be hit by a rhinoceros. If this happens, he'll lose a life and he'll also have to start over again.
P.S.
A more qualitative video will be uploaded in the nearby future, captured and processed by some better equipment than the ones used for this video.
