In example 3, just after Red moves his elephant back to the 7th file, (clearing the center line) why couldn't Green capture the remaining advisor (check)? Red would have to move his general forward one. Then Green could check on the 5th file (sacrifice the rook). Red would capture the rook, (or Green would take the soldier). Then Green could check with the horse on his 6th file. Red moves, and Green could then move his horse to the 5th file, breaking the center line. He can now probably draw.
that sounds like a fine idea, but I would imagine that red could still win with a horse and a soldier, whereas green would only have a horse...it would only drag out longer and not be nearly short enough to post here. Thanks for the comment though!
I also made a mistake. I mentioned after green moved his rook R6=4, that he was looking to take CM with R4+1, but actually it would have been with the horse, H8-6.
thanks for the question. if you are referring to the end of the 3rd example when he moves from the 6th the the 4th file, i can see two scenarios happening:
1. move to the front corner of this place: but then red would move his soldier to the left one and checkmate (face-to-face-laughing)
2. move the the back corner to threaten the red horse: same way of ending the game.
that was also asked by troubledownbelowsir in a previous post (check the conversations). i think red would have the advantage and eventually take the checkmate, but a draw is possible if green is canny and red not so much. also, check out the wonderful endgame video hk92jimmy posted in the video reply.

@srxqp Green could just move his rook back to his palace to defend?

@srxqp Ah I see, I didn't see the pawn can move sideways to deliver checkmate as well. I was thinking of green Rook from 2-6 to 8-6. (Row-column)
But still, Green could Rook take Guard on 1-6 check. Maybe force a draw?
